What is SEO?
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) means improving a website's visibility and ranking on search engines, helping you attract more visitors without paying for ads. It covers making sure your website is relevant and appealing, using relevant keywords, optimizing website structure and navigation, getting high-quality backlinks, and making sure your website is technically optimized for search engines.
What is accessibility?
Web accessibility is about making websites and digital content easy to use for people with disabilities. This includes using alternative descriptive text for images, proper heading structures, keyboard navigation compatibility, captioning and transcripts for video content, and colour contrasts that are readable for visually impaired users. Ever struggled to read a website in bright sunlight? You’ve experienced the need for good colour contrast!
What is UX?
User eXperience is all about how happy and satisfied a person is while using a website or app. It combines lots of points like ease of use, how fast the site is, how it looks, and whether people like using it. I also try to understand what people need and want, so I can make sites that are easy and enjoyable to use. By doing this, it can help make visitors happy while also making your business successful.

Wondering how it will work? Here's an overview of the process from start to finish.
- STEP 1
Request a quote
Fill out my request a quote form and tell me all the details about your project. I'll get back to you within a few days with your quote or I'll arrange to discuss with you if I need any further info.
- STEP 2
Give the go ahead
Let me know you want to go ahead with the work, and fill out and return my new client contract. We'll then schedule a meeting to discuss the new site in more detail.
- STEP 3
Tell me your likes and dislikes
We'll have a chat about the look and feel you would like for the site and talk about how it will fit in with your existing brand, as well as your target market, competitors and your goals for the website. I'll also send you a questionnaire where you can tell me a bit more about any likes and dislikes - colours you want to use or avoid, maybe fonts you like, and so on, so we're both on the same page.
- STEP 4
Design phase
I'll get to work on designing your new website, taking into account everything we've discussed. I'll send you a working mock-up of the homepage in both desktop and mobile view. You'll be able to preview how the menus will work, as well as anything interactive such as image sliders. You can make comments and let me know any changes you'd like to make. I'll revise the design until you're perfectly happy with it. I'll also put together a sitemap diagram, showing all the pages making up your site and how they will be connected.
- STEP 5
Build phase
Once you're happy with the design and site layout, I'll start building the new site. Your existing website (if you have one) will remain in place without being affected as I will build on a development server. This ensures your new site remains private until we're ready to publish it. We'll work together to confirm on the content for each page, including images and copy. You'll get to sign off on each page as it's finished.

Go live
I'll send you a link to review the entire site before it is published. Your new site will be both mobile and tablet optimised to ensure it looks good on every screen. You'll make sure you're happy with everything and I'll make any last changes. Once everything is right I will upload the new site onto your domain and the new website will be live!
